vintage large round corrugated mesh brass beads form the heart of the design, each bead showcasing that classic mid-century airy latticework that catches light through its openings. the beads are topped with vintage 1950s brass bead caps pressed with soft petal-like ridges, then finished with small vintage ribbed brass beads that add a tight, glinting texture contrast. the trio of textures—mesh, petaled caps, and ribbed rounds—gives the piece a layered architectural feel.
each bead is anchored to the chain by oversized antique gold plated solid brass lobster-claw clasps. these substantial clasps are not only functional attachments but intentional design elements, adding a sculptural, hardware-driven look reminiscent of old tool-and-tackle fittings found in vintage workshops.
the chain is a 24k antique gold plated steel link chain, lead and cadmium free, with a soft brushed glow and just the right amount of weight for balance. its warm patina plays beautifully against the deeper brass tones and gives the necklace a collected-over-decades character.
the piece is finished with a 12k antiqued gold plated pewter toggle clasp, also lead and cadmium free. the toggle ring holds gentle hammered texturing, pairing well with the industrial lobster-claw accents and adding a final touch of vintage-grade refinement. the overall feel is bold, sculptural, and richly layered—an ode to brass in all its aged, glowing glory.
